In accordance with the general tendency of previous MPLP Symposia, the main objective of MPLP-2016 is to present the frontiers of modern laser physics and its numerous applications, as well as bring together scientists from all regions of the world to establish fruitful scientific collaboration at regional and global levels. It is planned to discuss the latest achievements and results aimed at the development and refinement of theoretical and experimental methods of laser physics, nonlinear and quantum optics, laser cooling of atoms and molecules, ultrahigh laser fields and other “hot” topics.
The Scientific Program includes invited talks, regular oral presentations selected from contributed applications, and contributed papers to be presented at two poster sessions. Following the tradition of MPLP Symposia, the Scientific Program comprises single sessions of oral presentations for each topic, running sequentially (i.e. there is no parallel sessions) and poster sessions.
The full version of the Program can be downloaded here. The short timetable is published below and it can be also downloaded as a PDF file.
Time scale for the presentations:
Invited talks – 30 minutes each, including discussion. Talks in the section “New Trends” are granted by additional 10 minutes (i.e. the full length is limited by 40 min.).
Oral presentations – 15 minutes each, including discussion.
Duration of a poster session is 1 – 1.5 hours.
Dear participant, if you are going to give us a talk with the help of your own laptop, make sure that it has HDMI port. If you use Apple PC, we will provide you with a special adapter. Of course, it will be much easier, if you bring your presentation on a regular USB flash drive and upload the presentation on our symposium’s laptop beforehand (for example, during the coffee-break).
When you are preparing your presentation, try to use standard fonts like Arial or Times New Roman. The size of letters and symbols on the slides should not be less than 16-18 pt. It is better if you prepare the presentation using MS Power Point 2007 or later. Also, just in case, you may convert your Power Point presentation into a demonstration file or a PDF file. Also, please, prepare your talk accordingly to the time scale mentioned above (usually about 2-4 minutes are required for questions).
